Linguistic Analysis of Football Slang in the Colloquial Functional Style

The topic of the thesis is the linguistic analysis of colloquial football slang. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with slang and its classification within the Czech language. At the same time, the onomasiological procedures used in the creation of slangisms are presented. It also focuses on functional styles, especially the colloquial style. In the practical part, the excerpted material collected from discussions on the Internet is analysed mainly in terms of morphological, lexical and syntactic, but also semantic and etymological aspects. The thesis also includes the analysis and evaluation of a questionnaire survey aimed at finding out whether the knowledge of slang expressions differs across generations.
Slang of Members of Česká tábornická unie, z.s.

This thesis deals with the specific speech of the members of Česká tábornická unie, z.s. - non-governmental non-profit Czech organization dedicated to working with children and developing camping skills. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on defining the national language and its units and semi-units, especially on defining slang, including possible ways of creating slang words. One chapter is devoted to the organization itself, namely its symbolism, history, structure and current activities. The practical part analyses the materials obtained through a questionnaire survey.
Language of Czech Prisoners

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is to approach the prison speech closer to wider society and to try to outline the idea of why prison speech arises and is subsequently used. In the theoretical part, the author will focus on the issue of sociolects and will mention some publications related to the development of criminal language. She will acquaint readers with the prison environment and their language. In the practical part, she will conduct a survey, when she will find out whether people who have never been in prison know or even use some of the words used by Czech prisoners. The aim of the thesis is to present the specific speech of Czech prisoners from the linguistic point of view to wider society and at the same time to contribute a partial probe to the research of nonstandard language.
Sociolect of mothers on babywebs

The diploma thesis deals with sociolect of mothers on babywebs, its objective was to analyze this sociolect. The research was mainly focused on the analysis of a lexical part of discussions of selected babywebs. In the theoretical part we tried to give a chronological overview of Czech linguists' theories about sociolects, the analyzed sociolect is specified on the background of these theories. At the beginning of the empirical part, the analyzed sociolect is characterized from the point of view of setting, group of users and their special activity, then the thematically sorted list of collected sociolectisms and word-formation processes are presented. The following chapter deals with the specifics of the analyzed sociolect which contain the theme of writing and speaking, expressivity, acronyms, shifts of grammatical categories and comparison with the medical sociolect. The empirical part also includes questionnaire research with the aim of discovering whether the selected expressions appear out of the internet as well or whether those expressions are fixed to the internet setting. Jakub Konečný ABSTRACT: To date, the study of the stylistic language system is one of the most important trends in linguistics. Researcher's interest to changes, development and proper use of language is still continue to grow. Especially the mass media language attracts the attention of researchers, because during the process of studying it can be clearly observed the processes of the development and changes of the language. This work is devoted to the phenomenon of the Russian language - subprime vocabulary. This topic is relevant today and it is still being studied by the linguists. Feature of this work consists of the increased attention to the vocabulary itself and to the content of the mass media test. This work reveals the history, development and styles of the vocabulary as well as the functions and features of the mass media language. Works of the Russian linguists, such as G.Y. Solganik, V.V. Vinogradov, L.V. Szczerba, L.A. Vvedenskaya, Y.S. Maslov etc became as the base of this work. Language of SMS and French as a foreign language

in English with English title of the thesis: Language of SMS and French as a foreign language The central topic of the thesis is the language of short text messages (SMS) and/or the one of chat and their application in teaching of French as a foreign language (fr. abbreviation F.L.E., français langue étrangère). The aim is to answer the question so as to how to grasp linguo- didactically this modern sociolect of young users (not only) of French, typical of written communication via digital technologies, with the purpose of the purely practical use in the classes of French. Firstly, a linguistic description will be given in order to understand the mechanisms of the explored language code not only in French, but also partly in Czech and English, as well as the determination of the position of the SMS language as a socio-cultural phenomenon in the present-day French. The following research will be dealing with the identification and the analysis of the teaching activities using the SMS language found in approximately fifty text books of French intended for the learners of levels A1, A2, B1, B2.
